I’m excited to be here in Seattle for MS Project Conference 2007. Last year MS Project Conference in January 2006 (check my articles on Project Conference 2006) was great. I’m hoping this year it would be much better than before. I should be able Learn, Connect & Grow as the motto of Project Conference 2007 says.
Looking at the conference agenda, I can see this year more diverse topics will be covered. MS Portfolio Server 2007 will be covered in different sessions as well.
With the acquisition of Portfolio product from UMT and improvising it as MS Project Portfolio Server would boost EPM market share for Microsoft. Even at my workplace for one of our business segment, we beat CA Clarity in one-on-one comparison for price vs. features offered. In today’s market, it is not just product features, but also the cost which a company looks for. I’m hoping MS EPM would be on top of Gartner’s Magic Quadrant. Thanks to Portfolio Server 2007 introduction in to Microsoft EPM suite.
